He was the assistant strength and conditioning coach/player development for the Houston Rockets in Houston, Texas, from August 2014 to August 2016.

Justin was the basketball operations assistant for The Bakersfield Jam in Bakersfield, California, from September 2013 to April 2014 and the sports performance coach for CESPerformance in Duluth, Georgia, from July 2010 to September 2013.
He worked as a stock room sales associate for Foot Locker from 2004 to 2010.
He earned his bachelor's degree in sports management and his master's in sports psychology from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

When are Monica McNutt and Justin Jackson getting married?
Monica McNutt and Justin announced their engagement with Essence via a New York City photoshoot at the hotel where they had their first dinner together.
“I remember telling my homegirl when I got back from that date, 'I think there might be something there, we'll see,'" Monica recalled to the publication.
The pair are getting married in August 2024 at the Conrad in Washington, DC.

According to the outlet, about 150 guests are "expected to attend" their summer wedding.

Monica and Justin were introduced through a mutual friend in 2019.
At first, "they were just friends who kept things strictly business." However, their relationship later turned romantic.
"I was in New York for work, and Justin invited me to join him at a Washington Commanders bar; we ended up spending the day walking through the city. That was also the day of our first kiss," Monica told the publication.
"Even before we took a romantic turn, I've always felt safe with him. As our relationship grew, I realized that wasn't just physically but also mentally and spiritually," she continued.
"You meet thousands of people in your life, but you only meet so many that really 'get' you," Justin told Essence of Monica.
He proposed to his now-fiancée while on a trip to Grenada with friends.
